So, Heap CRM and Torch Project Management both have formatting guides. These allow you to embed images, tables, links and more within any text field. However, some users would like more power.

Now, you can choose to use Markdown to format your text instead. Under Settings->Account (in both products):

Once you check that box, Markdown will process any text field. Data detectors, such as address detection, phone numbers, etc. will still work. However, all formatting guide commands will be ignored (as they are often in conflict with Markdown's syntax).
