Heap CRM / Torch Project Management Integration

You can now create Torch projects (and users) directly from Heap CRM. Or, associate an existing project to Heap.

First, fill out your information under the users tab.

Now, under any lead, opportunity, customer or archive you can add a project. Heap will automatically create "external users" (and grant access to the project) for both the primary contact and any related people.

Now you can easily see what projects are related to a particular lead, opportunity, customer or archive.

Torch has a very sleek interface, just checked it. There are some minor things though. There's no abundance of help on this application, for example, I pinned an item in the calendar, and I couldn't find what pin is.

Additionally, sometimes you feel that an item is clickable (for example calendar days) yet it is not (in this case you have a small +.

I noticed that your Docs & Spreadsheets is solely linked to GoogleDocs, personally I think this is a disadvantage.

All in all, I like the application and I think it has a very bright future.

    Hi PM-

I've covered the use of pins in the "Using Torch Pins" video here:

You can upload any number of files to Torch, but they are files you attach to messages. The docs and sheet section is for people collaborating on documents related to the project. Also you can upload your office/openoffice documents and turn them into Google Docs.

It sounds like you haven't watched the intro video here:

I'd recommend you do that, it covers many of the issues here.
