The iPhone and Heap
Just like virtually every other group of geeks we are extremely excited by the iPhone. Particularly what interests us the internet capabilities. The ability to run a full web browser really opens up a lot of possibilities for us; specifically the ability to use our web based products on the road. So we would like to make a couple of announcements. We will do whatever it takes to make heap completely usable with the iPhone. As we understand it, the iPhone is already running a version of Safari; and as any mac user knows heap is completely compatible with that browser. However, making a product usable is more then just making it compatible. We will first resize the interface (which we are working on now), adjust the fonts and optimize for the finger as a pointer. We will have this new version out it in days of the release of the iPhone. We would also like to note that if the widgets on the iPhone can be created by 3rd party developers, we will make widgets for heap. Heap is already the only CRM on the market with OS X Widgets or Vista Gadgets and we would like to maintain the lead.
This will be discussed in more detail on our podcast (Simple Solutions) later this week. So if you are interested please click on one of the links under the “Podcast” section to your right.
