There is no good reason to use MS Office. Use OpenOffice and the problem is solved.

Likely a similar edit as is needed for Windows Defender. Google keywords: orca windows 2000 defender.

And there’s a MSI package inside a downloadable zip file around, too — I think I found it on a MSDN blog somewhere. Search for it if you don’t want to install the Platform SDK.

No, I found out about that little tidbit when I was having lunch with a friend of mine that works at Microsoft, I didn’t ask him for specifics because I knew he probably wasn’t suppose to tell me that much.

Any chance you could give us some guidance to what edits need to be made to get office 2007 to install on windows 2000?

Can’t seem to find anything on any websites using google.
